NIQ, formally known as NielsenIQ, is a spinoff of Nielsen, which spun off its data and analytics branch Global Consumer Business in January 2021.[1]

History

[edit]

In 2020, Nielsen Corporation spun off its Global Consumer Business data and analytics arm and formed NielsenIQ.

In 2021, Advent International acquired NielsenIQ (now NIQ) and Jim Peck, a former Chief Executive Officer of TransUnion, was named CEO.[2]

In 2023, NIQ and GfK completed their merger, creating a leading consumer intelligence company.[3]
