Draft:Mudita (company)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mudita is a Polish mindful technology company founded in 2013[1] by Michał Kicinski (co-founder of CD Projekt). Mudita's most notable product is the Mudita Pure[2][3][4][5][6][7][8] an E ink feature phone with one of the lowest electromagnetic radiation (SAR) levels for a cellphone[9][10]. This is soon to be succeeded by the company's upcoming flagship model the Mudita Kompakt.[11][12][13][14][15][16] A minimalist phone powered by MuditaOS K, an operating system built on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).[17][18]

Philosophy and Mission

[edit]

Mudita derives its name from the Buddhist concept of "sympathetic joy," embodying happiness in others' wellbeing. The company's mission is to promote mindfulness and balance in the digital age.[19] By stripping away unnecessary features from everyday technology, Mudita aims to help users reconnect with the present moment and foster healthier relationships with devices.[20]
