Boris Abdul (born Mubariz Abdullayev; July 23, 1976, in Baku, Azerbaijan) is an Azerbaijani entrepreneur, technologist, and amateur astronomer, known for his contributions to aerospace, robotics, and artificial intelligence.As of 2022,Boris Abdul resides in the United Arab Emirates

Early Life and Education

Boris Abdul earned an MBA in Design and Technology from the Russian State University named after A.N. Kosygin in 2000. He later enrolled at the National Aerospace University – Kharkiv Aviation Institute but had to discontinue in 2013 due to family obligations. In 2020, he completed MITx's Management in Engineering (MEM) program, earning a verified diploma.

Career

Boris Abdul is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Viastellar, a space technology startup focused on advancements in aerospace engineering and Nuclear thermal rocket.[1] He has contributed to projects involving AI chatbots, robotics for military-grade applications, and cryptocurrency development. In 2022, Abdul played a key role in designing and organizing Azerbaijan’s first aerospace festival, Teknofest.[2] He received thanks from the festival founder, Selçuk Bayraktar.

Scientific Contributions

As an amateur astronomer, Boris discovered several asteroids in the Main Asteroid Belt (MAB).[3][4][5] The asteroids were officially designated by NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory Solar System Dynamics Group: - 2023 TD106 - 2023 TK24. He holds provisional certificates from the IASC:

Patents

Boris Abdul holds an USPTO patent for a fire-extinguishing device using infrared-guided water bombs to tackle hard-to-reach fires in forests and mountainous areas.[6] He also holds USPTO patent-pending inventions in satellite Earth imagery instruments and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) drones.
