Moon Nila is an actress who works in Malaysian Tamil television and films. She was particularly noted for playing multiple roles in the 2022 series Iraivi Thirumagal Kaadu.
Biography
[edit]Moon Nila was born in Selangor and worked as a nurse before entering the industry.[1] She starred in several soap operas such as Tamil Letchumy as Amy and Yaar Avan as Mayaa.[2][1] Regarding the differences between her character in the first and second seasons of Tamil Letchumy, she said that her character was innocent and straight forward in season 1 and bold in season 2.[3]
In 2022, she made it to the Malaysia Book of Records for playing nine different roles in the Astro Vinmeen HD soap opera Iraivi Thirumagal Kaadu, namely an old lady, a fortune teller, a rich lady, a herbalist, a demented girl, a doctor, a book seller, a teenage girl and a goddess.[4][5][6]
In 2023, she won the Ulagam Award for Popular Lead Female (Telemovie/Series) for Iraivi Thirumagal Kaadu and the second season of Tamiletchumy.[7]
In 2024, she won the Malaysian Indian Creative Award (MICA) for Best Actress for the film Senthozhan Sengkathiravaanan and Popular Actress.[8]
