Mokokoma Frans Mokhonoana (19 May 1985 – 1 August 2023), better known by his first name Mokokoma, was a South African author, mystic, philosopher, minimalist, designer, and social critic.
Personal life

[edit]Mokokoma was born in Mahwelereng, Mokopane in Limpopo. Mokokoma was the first of three children and grew up pretty reserved and shy, the personality stuck with him into his adult life. He always opted for emails instead telephonic, video or audio to get work across, he did however, appear on a few podcasts including Revisionpath.[1]
Education and Career
[edit]Mokoma attended Hoërskool Piet Potgieter , in Mokopane and later went on to study Graphic Design. He briefly worked as a Graphic Designer after completing his studies and later dropped off to focus on freelancing as a designer and as a writer. His writing career began in 2011 and lasted until the time of his death in 2023.
Death
[edit]Mokokoma died at his Mokopane home on 1 August 2023. His cause of death was not publicly announced.
