Modelled Miniatures was the name given by Meccano Ltd., to a range of die-cast accessories, intended to complement their existing Hornby trains. Springing from the selection of Hornby Accessories in 'O' gauge and introduced in 1931, they comprised Station Staff, Passengers, Train and Hotel Staff, Farmyard Animals, and most significantly, a selection of vehicles that ultimately grew into the famous Dinky Toys range.[1]
