From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mochileando is an online travel platform and blog founded by Puerto Rican travel blogger Wilson Santiago Burgos, based in Puerto Rico..[1] The platform provides travel alerts, flight deals, travel inspiration, and news tailored to the Hispanic travel community. With a large following across social media and over one million combined followers on Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube, Mochileando also offers information on popular global destinations and events. Through its website, Mochileando.com, it focuses on accessible travel and must-see experiences for all types of travelers.

Mochileando was launched in 2017 as a social media travel blog, followed by the launch of Mochileando.com in 2019[2]. The platform’s mission has always been to make travel more accessible by providing tools and resources that empower people to organize trips independently. Over the years, Mochileando has introduced various tools to support self-planned travel.

The platform organizes the largest travel blogger and traveler event in Latin America, known as Mochileando Travel Class[3]. This event has attracted over 3,000 participants and featured notable guests, including Alan X El Mundo, Pasaporte, Enrique Alex, Alejandra Travels, Adamaris Lopez, among others [4].

Mochileando also operates the Mochileando Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to aiding communities impacted by natural disasters [5], poverty reduction, education, environmental conservation, and animal welfare[6]. The Foundation has ongoing collaborative projects in Puerto Rico [7], Tanzania, and Rwanda [8], and has been involved in relief efforts in Honduras, Haiti, the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, and Morocco[9]
