Matthew J. Bridger (born July 11, 2000) is a British entrepreneur, philanthropist, and political figure. He is recognized for his contributions to social impact, community service, and youth entrepreneurship, particularly in Kent and Stoke-on-Trent.[1]

Matthew Bridger was born on July 11, 2000, at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, Kent, England.[2] He attended The John Wallis Academy and later pursued studies in Media at The EDGE School of Creative and Business at Folkestone College.[2]

Career

Matthew Bridger began his entrepreneurial career at the age of 11 by founding Whisper Media, a creative agency he ran from his bedroom.[3] By the age of 17, he had launched a second project, Magnate Generation CIC, a community interest company aimed at supporting young entrepreneurs in Kent.[4]

Bridger faced significant challenges as a young entrepreneur, including being unable to open a professional bank account due to his age. This led him to appoint a company director to manage financial accounts for both Whisper Media and Magnate Generation CIC. Bridger has since campaigned for changes in the law to allow under-18s to open business accounts, advocating that young people should have access to the necessary tools to run a business.[4]

Magnate Generation CIC received a £10,000 donation from Kent Police through the Safer in Kent fund, which was invested in employment programs in schools and a food-waste and recycling initiative.[4] The company also allowed young people to engage in local community projects, helping them build relationships and gain respect.[4]
