Maryam Umar Maigida (29-year-old) is a Nigerian visual artist, freelance painter, and art historian. She is also known as the owner of the art cave studio and gallery "Her studio." She has participated in a number of exhibitions in Nigeria, the majority of which were in Apex Arts in New York, and World arts Dubai UAE. Her paints are seen in variety of styles, including abstract, near naturalism, and mixed media. With a focus on culturally relevant fabrics, motifs, and materials as a means of preserving culture, also, some of her work advocating for women's rights, children's rights, and preventing child abuse.[1]

Maryam Umar Maigida popularly known as Meemee Maigida Ace from North East (Yobe State), born and raised in Abuja, She developed passion into her career and obtained bachelor of arts from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, kaduna State.[2][3]

Achievements

Maryam Umar Maigida’s verified exhibition was Arewa and Me Too at Apexart, New York City (2022).[4] Meemee's most exhibition is in United States. Maigida has no solo shows but one group show, Maryam has bee

n exhibited with Halima Abubakar and Martha Panshak Dasa. Maryam Umar Maigida is ranked one of the Top 1,000,000 globally. Maigida’s best rank was in 2022, with the most dramatic change in 2023
