Mankeli is a Finnish sketch comedy series made in 2000–2001, which featured part of the Kummeli crew as cast. Mankeli sketches differed greatly in regard to Kummeli sketches, but had some of the same characters such as Mauno Ahonen (from ”Kuuluisia viimeisiä sanoja”, played by Silvennoinen) and show host Eero Kakko (played byKeskinen). Kummeli's fifth season, like Mankeli, also had a studio audience.
Mankeli episodes always featured a contest, such as a dance or beauty contest, which was always somehow won by the worst competitor. In the first season, the winning competitor always asked if the prize could be in cash. There was also musical guests, of which sometimes the host, Eero Kakko, did not want them to perform whatsoever.
Both seasons of Mankeli have been released on DVD. Season 1 released on DVD on the 18th of February 2010, and the second season on the 6th of May 2010. Both were released as a boxed set on the 28th of August 2010, which included normal episodes as well as 5 remix-episodes produced in 2003, and humorous nostalgic photos. The set had 3 disks total, 1 disk for each season, and another for bonus material.
