Makhdoom Syed Murid Kazim Shah was a Pakistani Politician, he was Minister for Revenue and Excise from 1993 to 1997 in PPP Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao’s government N.W.F.P and Parliamentary Leader from 2002 to 2008 in MMA Government N.W.F.P. He also served as Minister for Revenue from 2008 to 2010 in ANP Government KPK.
Early life and family
[edit]Makhdoom Syed Murid Kazim Shah was a Pakistani Politician born on 25 May 1949, he Died on 3 February 2021 in Military hospital Rawalpindi due to brief illness and was buried in his ancestry graveyard of Hazrat Peer Shah Essa in Uch Bilot Sharif.He belonged from a sufism family from Uch Bilot Sharif,he was descendant of Hazrat Peer Shah Essa a great sufi scholar and historian,also his family tree of ancestry match’s with great sufi scholor and historian Hazrat Jalal Ud Din Surkh Posh Naqvi Al Bhukhari from Uch Bahawalpur.His uncle Makhdoom of Uch Bilot Sharif Makhdoom Atta Ur Rehman Shah was also Member of Provincial Assembly from 1970 to 1977 and he also served as Provincial Caretaker Minister in 1997.
Makhdoom Syed Murid Kazim was a seasoned politician who was considered to be an expert in making important decisions for development and prosperity of his constituency.
Makhdoom Syed Murid Kazim Shah served for three times In Provincial Assembly of KPK,he started his Politics in 1972 in Local Bodies Elections and became district member in 1985.He contested seat of Provincial Assembly In 1985 but was unsuccessful.In 1993 to 1997 he was first time elected as Member of Provincial Assembly(N.W.F.P) as Independent Candidate and joined PPP. He was inducted in Cheif Minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao’s Cabinet as Minister for Revenue and Excise.Again in 2002 to 2008 he was elected as Member of Provincial Assembly from the ticket of PPP(S) and was Parliamentary Leader In MMA Government(N.W.F.P).Again 2008 to 2013 he was re elected as Member of Provincial Assembly(KPK) as Independent Candidate and joined Awami National Party.He was Inducted In Cheif Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti’s Cabinet as Minister for Revenue. After he died his elder son Makhdoomzada Muhammad Aftab Haider continued his father’s journey for public service.He was elected as Member of Provincial Assembly(KPK) Since 2024 From Ticket Of JUI (F).
