Make it at Market.[1] is a British television series that has broadcast on BBC One since January 2023, presented by Dominic Chinea. It follows fledgling craft businesses and teams them with experts in the field to help them on their way.
Format
[edit]Each show follows the stories of two crafters, who are either looking to transform their hobby into a business, or have recently started a business and are looking to expand.
Each crafter is paired with a suitable expert mentor who has experience and knowledge in their field, and offers practical tips and advice to help them grow their business.
During the show, each crafter is invited to showcase one low-price "volume piece" (made on the show), one "high-end piece" (made beforehand) and one "favourite piece" (made on the show), to give the experts and viewers an idea of the breadth of their skills and their unique selling points. They then go away for 8 weeks to follow through the action plan set out by their expert mentor, and report back again with their progress.
