Background
[edit]Maddy Walsh was born in Ithaca, New York, on January 7, 1983, to Margaret "Maggie" Dudley Walsh and fellow musician and singer-songwriter Edmund "Ted" Anthony Walsh.[citation needed] She has one younger brother, Gavin Walsh. Maddy graduated from Dryden High School in 2001 and then from SUNY Binghamton in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in English and Creative Writing (poetry and nonfiction.) In 2007, Walsh earned her Master’s degree in English and Creative Writing from California State University Sacramento.[2] She recorded her first solo album, Patchwork, in Sacramento in 2007.[3]
The Blind Spots

Maddy and Suave began songwriting together, and co-founded The Blind Spots shortly afterwards. The 5-piece band includes a permanent lineup of guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, and vocals.[3] In 2014, Maddy and Suave were married.[citation needed]
