Madan Mohan Malaviya Teachers Training Centres (MMTTC) have been created by UGC to train newly recruited teachers in Indian educational institutions and Gurudakshita program is organised for training these new entrants. Gurudakshita is also known as Faculty Induction program.^[1]

At present 116 teachers training centres are functioning in India.^{[citation needed]}
