Lucia is the younger sister of Ana, who was also a rhythmic gymnast at national level.[2][3] In 2018, aged 11, she was selected for a series of training camps in Europe along with Pilar Cattaneo, Macarena Rodríguez and Agostina Vargas.[4] During the years she conquered various podiums in national competitions.[5] In 2020 she was selected to be part of the Argentinian national team.[6]

Arrascaeta was part of the junior group, along Lara Aimeri, Lucia González, Morena Martinengo and Victoria Torres, that won silver in the All-Around and with 5 balls as well as bronze with 5 ropes at the 2022 South American Championships.[7]

She became a senior the following year, competing at the 2023 Pan American Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Guadalajara as a member of the national group along Pilar Cattaneo, Maria Cantale, Ana Acosta, Lara Aimeri, and Lucia González. They took 9th place in the All-Around, 8th with 5 hoops and 10 with 3 ribbons & 2 balls.[8][9]

In 2024 she won an historical bronze medal in the 3 ribbons & 2 balls at the Pan American Championships in Ciudad de Guatemala along Lara Aimeri, Pilar Cattaneo, Lucia González and Gabriela Vega.[10][11]
