Louise Bloomfield is an Australian politician and since November 2022 an Alderman on for the City of Hobart, Tasmania.[1]

Education and Early Career

Bloomfield graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1995[2], majoring in Accounting including studies strategic marketing and market research.

In 1998, Bloomfield started her own accounting firm Bloomfield & Associates.[3] She is a registered tax agent[4] and a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants.

Small Business Advocacy

In 2021, Bloomfield founded and became the inaugural Chair of the Confederation of Greater Hobart Business.[5] In July 2023 she resigned as Chair.[6]

City of Hobart

Bloomfield first ran for Alderman in the 2018 Local Government Elections[7] and was unsuccessful. She ran again in the 2022 Local Government Elections[8][9] and was elected after receiving 1,473 first preference votes.

Bloomfield is the current Chair of the City Economy Portfolio Committee[10] for the City of Hobart.

Personal Life

Bloomfield was born in Hobart and lived most of her life in or around Hobart. She is married to Paul Daniels and has two daughters.
