Taguig (EMBO)

In 2023, the Supreme Court of the Philippines ruled that the eastern part of the Fort Bonifacio Military Reservation, specifically Parcels 3 and 4, are confirmed to be part of Taguig. These lands comprise the present-day Bonifacio Global City and the Embo barangays, the latter which was previously ruled by Makati for 37 years. The city government of Taguig started to take over local government facilities on August 11, 2023, beginning with the public schools.^{[citation needed]}
