In 2017, Legenda Foluim participated in the national selection for Eurovision[2]. Besides their own songs, they are famous Linkin Park cover artists.

Genre

[edit]

Legenda Folium describe their work as a mix of aggression and melody; a kind of natural symbiosis of alternative music with elements of Industrial and Electronic Dance Music[3].

History

[edit]

The name

[edit]

"As for the name - firstly, we came up with the abbreviation "LF"; as a fan of Linkin Park, I liked such combinations of letters. The first word had to be consonant in all languages (Legenda), and the second (Folium) came up itself. Actually, I think that the name is not the main thing." - Icey.

Early years

[edit]

In 2010, Icey, along with the drummer and bassist, started working on the first materials for the band's future album. In 2011, Legenda Folium recorded their first demo album and performed the songs in Kharkiv clubs[4].

2013-2022

[edit]

In 2014, Legenda Folium released their first music video for the song My Space and presented it on national TV [5].

In 2015, Legenda Folium released a new single Vanish. During the following years, the band had been actively touring across Ukraine. The tour included performances at Ukraine's biggest rock festivals, including Zaxidfest.

In 2017, Icey established his own music hub LF Club. After the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the club hosted charity concerts and other events to support the Ukrainian military and civilians [6]. In 2023, the hub was closed due to the lack of funding [7]
