Dr. Larry Ollison is a Christian author, speaker, pastor, and pilot. He is the founder of Larry Ollison Ministries.[1] and the Senior Pastor of Walk on the Water Faith Church[2] in Osage Beach, MO[3]. Dr. Ollison is the author of The Cutting Edge Daily Devotional[4] and the host of The Cutting Edge Radio Broadcast on Larry Ollison Ministries Radio[5].
Ordination and Ministry
Larry Ollison attended Southwest Baptist University majoring in theology. He was ordained as a Southern Baptist minister. During this time the received the baptism of the Holy Spirit that opened up a whole new understanding of the Bible. Having graduated from a Baptist University he accepted an opportunity to pastor a church in Fortuna. It didnt' take long before he determined he wasn't meant to be a pastor at that time.
He founded Larry Ollison Ministries and took his place as a respected Bible teacher speaking at men's meetings and conferences all over the world. Dr. Larry Ollison was a frequent speaker for the Full Gospel Business Men's meetings. He went on to earn his M.A in Theology, Ph.D., and Th.D. from Life Christian University[6] later in his ministry years.
A small group of friends asked Dr. Ollison to hold a weekly Bible study so they could grow in their Christian faith. That Bible study met in a local bar on Sunday mornings. That Bible study grew and began meeting at a local Christian Church after the church's Sunday service. It wasn't long before that Bible study became the beginnings of a church. Dr. Ollison describes how he had a dream of a church named Walk on the Water Faith Church. In 1993, he became the founder and Senior pastor of Walk on the Water Faith Church[7] in Osage Beach, Missouri.
This new endeavor continued to meet as the second service at the building located 959 Old State Park Road until the Christian Church meeting at 9 a.m. needed a pastor. Dr. Ollison became their "interim interim pastor" and was eventually offered an opportunity to purchase the building after which many members of the original church joined Walk on the Water Faith Church.
Dr. Ollison has served on several ministry boards. For many years Dr. Ollison was a trustee and eventually served as President of the International Convention of Faith Ministries (ICFM). He currently serves on the boards of Billye Brim Ministries and Prophecy Watchers. Dr. Ollison is the Vice-President of Lake Area Educational Broadcasting Foundation. The foundation is known for its radio networks such as Spirit FM Christian Radio Network, Elevate Worship.Online, and Larry Ollison Radio[8]
Dr. Larry Ollison and his wife, Loretta, have served as Missouri State Directors for Christians United for Israel since its inception in February 2006.[9] They have been criticized over the years for their staunch support of Israel and teaching of the Hebrew roots of Christianity. Some of the denominations that embraced his matter-of-fact an easy-to-understand teaching style have not been favorable to his beliefs concerning the modern state of Israel and Zionism.

Personal Life
Larry Edwin Ollison was born in Climax Springs, Missouri on February 7,1947 to Raymond and Charlene Ollison[19]. Shortly after his birth his parents moved to Raytown, Missouri just outside of Kansas City. He states he grew up in a Southern Baptist home being drug to every church every time the doors were open. In his words, he "grew up Southern Baptist, went to a Southern Baptist Univeristy, married a Southern Baptist girl, and raised Southern Baptist kids."
He often shares while he didn't smoke or drink alcohol, he did his best to dress and look like the hippies of his young adult years. He is an accomplished musician primarily playing bass and singing. He's told of playing music in bar bands, studio bands, hand-bell choirs, and worship teams.
Larry Ollison married Loretta Phillips and they have 2 children, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. They spent many years as owners of Raymond's Boat & Motor Sales, Inc[20] with Larry's sister, and parents. During this time, Larry Ollison founded and served as the chairman of the Missouri State Marine Board and President of the Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers' Association. In 1993 he left the day-to-day duties of running the business to go into full-time ministry. This was an adjustment for the whole family. Raymond and then Charlene continued the operation of Raymond's Boat & Motor Sales, Inc.
One of his favorite pasttimes in addition to boating and playing music is piloting small aircraft. He has often said in his sermons that there is nothing like the peace of being in the skies piloting a plane.
