History
[edit]The company was formed as Let Me Play in 2004 and co-founded by Matthew Lord and Amy Lalla, focusing on creating Sports Residential Camps[3]. These involved sports ranging from basketball, football, athletics and many others for young people.
In 2007, the delivery of camps moved towards education institutions, providing after-school and specialist camps.
Delivery of study programmes commenced in 2011. This initially focused on the London area, then expanded nationwide with several different partners across the country.
In 2015, the company moved into their current office in Hammersmith[4].
Sub-contracted apprenticeships then followed, with direct apprenticeships a couple years after in 2017, using the then-recently announced levy[5] as a basis.
In 2018, LMP Group was formed as a holding company for Let Me Play Basketball and Sporting Education Ltd., which in 2019 renamed the two companies into LMP Action C.I.C.[6] and Inspire ATA[7] respectively.
In 2020, they received an Ofsted grade of 'Good' for apprenticeships and also received a 1-Star Best Companies to work for accreditation.
Many awards soon followed in 2021, such as the Investors In People Gold award.
In 2022, LMP Group, through Inspire ATA, secured a place on the Flexi-Apprenticeships Register[8]. The company also expanded its general output of delivery across schools, community and education - ESF, Traineeships, Apprenticeships and Adult Education.
