Kyle Matthews (born May 26, 1982) is an American entrepreneur, founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Matthews Real Estate Investment Services, a commercial real estate services company headquartered in Nashville, TN.[1][2] The company is one of the largest privately-held brokerages in the United States, with more than 1,000 employees nationwide.[2]

Early Life and Education

Kyle Matthews was born in Southern California to Clay Matthews Jr. and Leslie Matthews. Matthews is a member of the Matthews family, a prominent family in American football.[3]

He graduated from Westlake High School in 2000, and completed his education at University of Southern California, where he played football and studied International Relations and Affairs.

Early Career

Matthews began his career in real estate as an associate at Marcus & Millichap, where he gained significant experience in investment sales. He then left Marcus & Millichap in 2012 and went to work at Colliers International as an Executive Vice President, Retail Investments.[4]

He is involved in the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and is on the Board of Directors of University of Southern California Lusk Center for Real Estate.

Personal Life

Kyle Matthews resides in Nashville with his wife and four children.[2]

Kyle Matthews was named CRE's Best Bosses in 2024 by GlobeSt, recognizing his contributions to the real estate industry and leadership at Matthews Real Estate Investment Services.[5]
