He was a guest lecturer at various universities lecturing on Wittgenstein, Business Ethics, and issues in popular philosophy: Institute for Philosophy (Croatia), University of Rijeka, University of Zadar (Croatia), Sciences Po Lille (France), University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), RISEBA University (Latvia). He regularly attends symposia and conferences on Wittgenstein and Business Ethics (mostly International Wittgenstein Symposium[5][6][7] and Social Responsibility Research Network[8]).
Philosophy
[edit]In philosophy Krkač advances few ideas. Namely pragmatism and morphology in interpretation of Ludwig Wittgenstein’s philosophy, especially concerning interpreting On Certainty (Krkač 2003, 2012).
In ontology Krkač advances the trope theory of concrete particulars and abstract universals under the influence of classics of the theory, but also of late E. J. Lowe (Krkač 2010). Michael Huemer in his book Paradox Lost - Logical Solutions to Ten Puzzles of Philosophy (2018) in the chapter Sorties lists W. D. Hart and Krkač as defenders of the theory that four entities are the minimum amount that can constitute a heap[9]
Business ethics
[edit]In business ethics, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability[10] Krkač advances stakeholder theory, elements of pragmatist ethics, and his main research is in the topic of corporate social irresponsibility (CSI), in principle and in and on the level of case-study topics such as lying (where he advances theory of habitual lying[11], see Krkač et. al. (2012) also D’Anselmi, P. Kristijan Krkač’s concept of lying by default, in D’Anselmi, P. (2011) Values and Stakeholders in an Era of Social Responsibility, Cut-Throat Competition).
Other topics
[edit]Besides interests in philosophy and business ethics Krkač also lectures, and publishes papers and books on popular topics, namely on the philosophy of football[12], the philosophy of sci-fi/horror films, and the philosophy of rock music.
Lately, Krkač additionally researches and publishes papers and chapters in two topics, i.e. in Philosophy of multiple simultaneous natural and unnatural disasters, and in Philosophy of misuse of religion by politics in 21st century.
Besides that, in the period 2010-2020 Krkač published more than 1.000 newspaper columns on various web portals concerning topics concerning daily life phenomena, culture, education, and politics.
Personal life
[edit]Krkač is a supporter of GNK Dinamo Zagreb. He was involved in rowing during his youth and enjoys recreational swimming and walking. He also engages in weekly discussions with fellow philosopher friends.
