Kholood Saif[1]is a recognized figure in the Iraqi art scene[2], grew up and came of age in Iraq. She studied Art at the Institute of Fine Arts, Iraq, before travelling to Britain, where she read Art and Interior Design at the Southeast of Essex Technical College and School of Art, now renamed East of London University. She returned to Iraq in 1971, where she taught art at the Institute of Fine Art at the University of Baghdad for almost two decades. Kholood Saif was a member of the Iraqi Artist Society for many years. Throughout the seventies and eighties, she participated in most exhibitions at the prestigious National Gallery of Modern Art in Baghdad.[3][4]
