Khalifa, also known and marketed as Khalifa:Vengeance Will Be Written In Gold is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film directed by Vysakh, written by Jinu V. Abraham and produced by Theatre of Dreams, Saregama India Limited and Yoodlee Films.[1] The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shine Tom Chacko and Arjun Das (in his Malayalam debut) in lead roles. The music was composed by Jakes Bejoy, while Sathyan Sooryan and Shameer Muhammed handled the cinematography and editing respectively.[2]

[edit]The film was officially announced on 16 October 2022, by Prithviraj.[3] The principal photography commenced in March 2023.[4] The shooting location was shot in Dubai, Nepal and Kerala.[5] The writer and producer, Jinu V. Abraham said "I finished writing the first half of the movie and narrated it to Prithviraj recently. He liked it. I am now working on the second half. It’s progressing slowly because of my production responsibilities too. Khalifa is a big film with a huge star cast, and we will be announcing an update soon".[6]
Music
[edit]The music and background score is composed by Jakes Bejoy, in his maiden collaboration with Vysakh; nineth with Prithviraj after Ranam (2018), Ayyappanum Koshiyum (2020), Kuruthi (2021), Bhramam (2021), Jana Gana Mana (2022), Kaduva (2022), Kaapa (2022) and Vilayath Buddha.
