Juliane Golbs (* June 23, 1987, in Schwerin) is a German author and painter who lives in Hamburg.

Life

Juliane Golbs was born in Schwerin and lived there until the age of 17. At 18, she moved to Hamburg. Golbs studied Philosophy and Pedagogy at the University of Hamburg and Fine Arts at the Hochschule für bildende Kunst (HfbK). Since 2018, she has been an ambassador for the NCL Foundation, which focuses on researching and finding cures for childhood dementia.

Golbs is married to entrepreneur Nicolas Krohn. Their daughter was born on March 27, 2023. Jenny Elvers is the godmother of their daughter.

Work

Juliane Golbs is known for her expressionistic works. She gained significant attention through her collaboration with Peter Schmidt, who conceived her exhibition at the Barlach Halle K. The press has dubbed Juliane Golbs with the artist name "Promimalerin." In the NDR show Das!, a painting was presented to Jan Hofer.

In 2013, Golbs published her first book: "... und der Igel legte sich zum Sterben auf die Autobahn," a novel about life. Her second book, "Kreidezeit," is set to be released in 2025. In this book, Golbs discusses the outdated education system and advocates for a systemic change, emphasizing the importance of a child-centered approach to education.
