Journal of Business Chemistry (JoBC) is a peer-reviewed, scientific journal on management topics in the chemical industry and related sectors.[1] The first issue appeared in May 2004.[2] The JoBC is an open access journal. The current editors-in-chief of JoBC are Jens Leker from the University of Münster and Hannes Utikal from Provadis University.
The aim of the journal is to promote interdisciplinary exchange on latest research and industrial trends at the interface between chemistry and business administration. The development of the JoBC was supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG).[3]
As an established academic journal, the JoBC is included in the German Chemical Society's (GDCh) journal list and accessed through the GDCh app.[4] JoBC has been ranked in the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) Journal Quality List since 2016 and is currently listed in the fourth highest quality category “C”.[5] It is also included in the University of Sydney Business School Ranking of academic journals.
