Johnson Bros Australia
Stephen B. Johnson arrived from England in 1957 to Establish a factory to manufacture tableware in Croydon Victoria. He brought with him five managers and their families each with a specific skill in tableware manufacture. Local staff were also employed and trained. The factory started modestly selling tableware to Australian retailers. The factory continued to expand each year, eventually producing 13 million pieces per year and employing over 400 people, before its closure in 1985.
