Career
[edit]In 2009, Johnpaul was appointed CEO Sodexo for Australia and New Zealand. During his role as CEO, Johnpaul worked on site undercover, as part of the Undercover Boss Australia series on Season 2 Episode 6.[1] Under Johnpaul's leadership, Sodexo was awarded the prestigious 2015 Workforce Innovation Award by Australian Resources and Energy Association for the implementation of its mental health initiative, I Hear You.[2][3]
In 2015 Johnpaul was appointed Sodexo CEO, Mining Worldwide, Energy & Resources. Less than a year later, Johnpaul secured a monumental ten-year integrated facilities management contract with global mining giant Rio Tinto in Western Australia, marking the largest contract in Sodexo’s history.[4][5][6]
In 2017, Johnpaul was appointed Sodexo's Regional Chairman for Asia Pacific, with his role expanding to CEO Geographical Regions and Sodexo Group Executive Committee Member in 2018.[7] During his appointment, Johnpaul played a key role in advocating for gender equality within the workplace, sustainability, and inclusive employment practices.[8][9][10][11][12]
In 2022, Johnpaul began his current position of President APMEA, Brazil & Latin America at Sodexo.[7]
Education
[edit]Johnpaul received a Bachelor's degree in Management from Swinburne University in Melbourne, and is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.[7][13]
