John Baumann was an American Businessman. He died on the Titanic, which sunk in 1912. He was on the way back from London, where he had located one of his companies to, when the Titanic sunk. He was a first-class passenger, with ticket no. 17318 (which was £25 18s 6d).  Also on the ship, was his friend (Mr Henry Harris).

Whilst the Titanic was sinking, he stayed on board with Mr Henry Harris, after he had helped his wife onto the last life boat to successfully leave the ship.

In his will, he left a lot of things to Mr Henry Harris, including: His estate, his masonic charm, watch and chain, studs, pins and other personal items.

His body was lost in the ocean, when the Titanic sunk, and his body has never been identified.
