James Miller (Jim) Born 26th February 1992 is a professional climber and white-water paddle boarder living in Scotland.

His most notable events are:

  • Paddling of the Upper Gauley on SUP in West Virgina in 2023 (the hardest river ever Supped).
  • He became the first Performance White Water SUP Coach (the highest attainable coaching award for paddleboarding).
  • He paddled the first grade 5 rapid on SUP in Europe - Randolphs Leap.
  • He owns Highland Outdoor Adventures.
  • He is a national trainer for White Water rafting, White Water SUP and multi discipline paddlesports.
  • He is a course director for Mountain Training.
  • He holds the highest climbing qualification attainable in the UK the WMCI.
  • He was a director for Paddle UK and Paddle Scotland.
  • He is on the Hala and Werner SUP teams.
  • He was part of the team which cleaned up the Old Man of Hoy in 2024 given he climbs the stacks countless times every year he wanted to give back to the community.
  • He helped train and safeguard Aden Thurlow as he became the youngest person to lead climb the sea stacks at 11yo.
