Ivan Kharchenkov (born September 20, 2006) is a German-Russian professional basketball player for Bayern Munich of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) and the EuroLeague.

Professional career

In November 19, 2022, Kharchenkov played his first professional match for Bayern in the Basketball Bundesliga, scoring five points against Mitteldeutscher BC and at 16 years, one month and 30 days, became the youngest player and scorer which was used in the highest German division.[1]

National team career

In the summer of 2022, he won the German U16 national team at the 2022 B-European Championship. With an average of 13.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1,6 steals, Kharchenkov contributed significantly to the title win and was elected to the team of the tournament. In July 2023, Kharchenkov won bronze at the European Under18 Championship, scoring 17.1 points per game and was once again voted in the team of the tournament. In February 2024, national coach Gordon Herbert appointed him to the German men's men's men's team for the first time. In the summer of 2024 he became the European U18 champion, and Kharchenkov contributed 18 points to the final victory against Serbia.
