History and Overview
[edit]Irchester Community Primary School is situated in the heart of Irchester village. First Opened in 1849[1] as a single form entry school, the school was later expanded during the 1970s to become a two-form entry school [2]
In 2019 Irchester Community Primary School was awarded the highest level of achievement - Outreach level – for the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM).[3]
The school already had the coveted Gold Level status and is the only primary in Northamptonshire with its own laboratory.[3]
The school converted to academy status in 2019 as one of the founding members of the Nene Valley Partnership.[4]
In September 2023 the school recieved a "Good" [5] Ofsted rating.
Curriculum
