The Indonesian VTuber Awards, also known as the VTuber Awards Indonesia, are annual awards recognizing achievements in the Indonesian VTuber industry. Winners are determined through public voting in multiple categories.[1]
The inaugural ceremony took place on November 23, 2024, streamed live on Muse Indonesia's YouTube channel.[2][3]
Background
[edit]Established in 2024, the Indonesian VTuber Awards celebrate the creativity and contributions of VTubers in Indonesia. The awards aim to acknowledge performance and innovation in this rapidly growing sector, with over 1,900 creators collectively amassing more than 50 million subscribers.[3]
The event also highlights the VTuber industry's role in the creative economy. Irene Umar, Indonesia's Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, delivered a keynote emphasizing the sector’s potential in creating jobs and fostering digital innovation.[3]
Voting Process
[edit]Nominees were shortlisted by a panel of judges, and winners were determined through two phases of public voting conducted online via the Portal Virtual Creator (PVC).[4]
