Origins

[edit]

The Home and National Gathering party was founded by Mario Radić after he lost the inter-party Presidential elections of the Homeland Movement. [1] Several days before the unveiling of the party's name, cryptic billboards with the party's slogan, "Crno na Bijelo" (Black on White) were put up in several Croatian cities. Radić stated that "Black on White" would not be the party's name, but a slogan symbolising the mark of the Croatian people on history.[2] The Far-Right faction of the Homeland Movement joined Mario Radić to form DOMiNO, as they accused the President of the Homeland Movement, Ivan Penava of selling the ideals of the party.

The party was officially founded on the 28th of September, 2024. On the same day, they announced one of the party's vicepresidents, Branka Lozo, as their candidate for the 2024 Croatian Presidential elections. [3]
