Hmph! (흥칫뿡) is the first single album by South Korean girl group WJSN Chocome, a subunit of girl group WJSN. It was released on October 7, 2020 by Starship Entertainment and distributed by Kakao Entertainment.[1]. The single album consists of 2 tracks, including the title track of the same name.

Background
[edit]On September 22, 2020, Starship announced that WJSN would debut its first subunit after 4 years and 6 months through a teaser image released on social media[2]. Its name and debut date would also announced on the same image. Later, on September 25, 2020, the concept image for Hmph! was released revealing Soobin, Luda, Yeoreum, and Dayoung as the member of WJSN Chocome[3]. The music video teaser for Hmph! was released on October 4, 2020 through Starship Entertainment's official YouTube channel and 1theK[4]. On the next day, Starship released the album preview for the single through Starship Entertainment's YouTube channel and 1theK, revealing its side track Ya Ya Ya (야야야) which is a remake of the 1998 song of the same name by South Korean girl group Baby V.O.X[5]. On October 7, 2020, the single album were released along with its lead single music video[6]
