Fatima Buntinx Torres (born 11 October 2001) is a Peruvian actress.
Breakout Role
[edit]Fatima Buntinx starred as the lead actress in The Bad Intentions as Cayetana de los Heros, a lonely and solemn 8-year-old child growing up in Peru during the turbulent 1980s.[1] Directed by Rosario García-Montero, this won the Best Peruvian Film Award at the Lima Festival and the Special Jury Prize at the Gramado Film Festival.[2] Fátima Buntinx was nominated for a Young Artist Award as Best Young Actress in an International Feature Film.[3]
Career
[edit]At the age of six, Fatima participated in the video art of the visual artist Patricia Bueno Llosa entitled La Averia de lo Cotidiano 1, which was exhibited in galleries in 2010.[4] At the age eight, she starred as the protagonist in Bad Intentions. She also worked on the Discovery Channel series The Girl. In 2015, she starred in a short film with Katherina D'Onofrio. She is currently acting in a new film with director Rosario Garcia-Montero, entitled El Incident de Lidia, which is in post-production.[5] In 2023, she starred in the music video Cuidala by the singer KD.[6]
