Draft:Esmael Dinan
Submission declined on 17 September 2024 by Bonadea (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

Esmael Dinan (born 1971) is an Iranian-American prolific inventor and entrepreneur in the fields of information technology and communication networks.[1] He is one of the top ten most prolific inventors in the US and one of the top 14 in the world with over 1546 issued US patents as of September 16, 2024. He was awarded 244 US patents in 2022 and 305 US patents in 2023.[2][3] He is the founder and CTO of Ofinno, LLC - a research lab in Northern Virginia.[1][4][5][6]
Dinan received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, in 2001.[1]
Dr. Dinan has more than twenty years of research and development experience with tech firms such as WorldCom, Bechtel Communications, Sprint, and Clearwire.[5] He led research and development projects in areas of wireless and wireline networking technologies that included LTE-Advanced, Evolved Packet Core, 5G New Radio, 5G Core Networks, and Wi-Fi technologies.[6]
Working as a researcher and inventor for over twenty years, Esmael saw a consistent gap between engineers and patent attorneys throughout the industry, prompting the creation of Ofinno and its one-of-a-kind approach.[7]In a 2023 episode of the Clause 8 Podcast, Dr. Dinan touched on his inspiration for this unique model:
"The inventors had no clue about what a patent is, what is the patent process, why do they invent, what is really a good patent, what is a bad patent....[and] on the other hand, the patent attorneys that I worked with had little appreciation about the details of the technology.....I felt like the system is broken and inefficient, especially for getting standard essential patents. You have to have an optimized process from beginning to end, and that didn't exist in a company that I worked for."[8]
Over the last 13 years, Dr. Dinan has led Ofinno to establish strong relationships with renowned tech giants including Comcast, Samsung, Huawei, and Honda.[8]
In 2023, Esmael transitioned his role as CEO to Kavon Nasabzadeh and took on the role of Chief Technology Officer, allowing him to focus on his "true passion of research and innovation."[9]
