Emilia Sherifova is an American technology executive and business leader known for her work in digital transformation and financial technology. She has held senior leadership positions at major financial institutions, including roles as Chief Technology Officer at Northwestern Mutual and Partner & Chief Innovation and Information Officer at KKR & Co.[1] [2]

Early Life and Education

Coming from the Northern Caucasus region of the then Soviet Union, Sherifova came to the United States at age 15 as part of a cultural exchange program. This early international experience shaped her approach to leadership and innovation within the technology sector.[3]

Career

Sherifova began her career in financial technology, contributing to the development of electronic trading systems on Wall Street. Later as CTO at a number of startups she applied data science and AI to build audience targeting capabilities as well as programmatic advertising platform[4]; robo-advisory platforms that revolutionized wealth management.[5]

As Chief Technology Officer at Northwestern Mutual, Sherifova led efforts to modernize the $50 billion enterprise's digital infrastructure. During her tenure, she focused on:
