Elliott P. Barrett is a researcher in the characterization of porous substances. His contributions to the field include the development of methods for determining pore volume and area distributions using nitrogen isotherms, as exemplified in his paper, "The Determination of Pore Volume and Area Distributions in Porous Substances. I. Computations from Nitrogen Isotherms," co-authored with Leslie G. Joyner and Paul P. Halenda. His work has been used in advancing the understanding and application of adsorption techniques in material science[1][2][3]
