[edit]Elisha Caleb Mogunde (born 20 December 1997) is a Kenyan businessman, innovator, and chief executive officer (CEO) best known for founding the research and development company Blooming World International, as well as Agrotech Plus, a multi-national agricultural technology company based in Kenya. His visionary approach has driven significant advancements in sustainable agriculture, human healthcare, biodiversity, clean energy, climate change and technology.
Early life and education
[edit]A member of the Kisii people of the Nyanza Province, Elisha Caleb was born on 20 December 1997 in Kiorori village,Tabaka, Kisii County, to Abraham Mogunde and Jackline Morgaa.
Elisha started his education at Hill point Junior Academy, then transferred to Kiorori Primary School—both situated within the Kisii County; and he sat for his Kenya Certificate Of Primary Education (KCPE) at the latter. He then proceeded to St.Joseph's Nyabigena Boys Secondary School, still in Kisii County, where he obtained his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
He then enrolled at the KCA university to pursue Bachelors of science in information technology (BSCIT), graduating in 2017 with a BSc.
During his time in the campus for his undergraduate education, Elisha was an active member of the Christian Union. He also served as the Chairman of the Kenya private universities Association.
He encourages the younger generation of thinkers to venture into the fine arts and technology, investigate its relation to history of life sciences and to go out and create global academies and research institutions using technology. His inspiring effect led to the re–emergence of accumulated indigenous knowledge and technology systems in the modern African world. Elisha led visions on agricultural development in Africa by initiating effective scientific projects leading to advancement in growing indigenous crops, practicing climate smart agriculture and disseminating methods of insect control.
Career
[edit]From 2019, Elisha worked in various positions in the private sector and international organization, including work as the European development day young leader (Eddyoung leader 2022). In 2019 he founded Blooming World International and Agrotech Plus where he is currently the chief executive officer.
Awards
