East African Aviation

History

East African Aviation was established with a focus on providing reliable and efficient aviation services in East Africa. It's founder Captain Mulat Lemlemayehu served as an Ethiopian Airlines commercial pilot for 39 years with over 31,000 flying hours having a vast experience flying aircraft ranging from the DC-3, DH-6, ATR 42, Boeing 707, 720 737/767 up to the Boeing 777 and 787. In addition to his extensive background in the aviation industry, Captain Mulat Lemlemayehu together with his wife Tebelch Teklu, also owns the well-known four-star Dreamliner Hotel in the vibrant city of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Fleet

As of 2024, East African Aviation operates a fleet that includes:

  • One King Air 350: This aircraft is based in Addis Ababa and mainly performs charter flights within Ethiopia and neighboring countries. It is also used for medical evacuation flights.
  • Two Fokker 50 Aircraft: These aircraft are primarily used for passenger and cargo flights, fulfilling contracts with organizations such as the United Nations to transport goods.
