Dr. David J. Luke is a sociologist, higher education diversity professional, and author. He attended the University of Kentucky for graduate school and Grand Valley State University for his undergraduate studies.

Luke has been active in professional associations like the Society for the Study of Social Problems, National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education, and numerous others.

His scholarship has broadly focused on race, racism, and multiracial organizations. He is widely recognized for his expertise on affirmative action in higher education.
