Daniela Kadlec (born 5 March 1993) is an Austrian Dodgeball and Roundnet player, member of Dodgeball Team Austria and Roundnet Team Austria, gold medalist of the European Roundnet Championships Womens Division, silver medalist of the European Roundnet Championships Squad Division, gold medalist of the Dodgeball World Championships 2022 in Canada in Womens and Mixed competition, silver medalist of the 2023 Dodgeball European Championships.
Career
[edit]Daniela Kadlec started her Roundnet career in 2019 playing in local parks and debuting her first international tournament with her back then team partner Filiz Akinci. After various successful tournaments with Filiz Akinci, she found a new long lasting partner with Megan Leybourne. In their first tournament together in the 2021 Cologne Trophy, they managed to secure the 3rd place. After a good season in 2022 where they managed to place on the podium in many tournaments, they finished their season with a 3rd place in the European Championships.
Their rise to the top of the European Roundnet Scene started in 2023 when they finally managed to beat their rival Laura Kunzelmann in the EURA Vienna Tourstop in a 2-set win. They cemented their 2023 season with a solid 2-set win over the then-unbeaten team of “towerful” (Ronja Lorenz and Laura Kunzelmann) in the European Championship 2023.
