The Conejo Valley Association of Filmmakers (CVAF) is a network of student filmmakers based in Thousand Oaks, California. Founded on December 22, 2022 by Parker Bohl. The organization spawned a club at Newbury Park High School named Conejo Valley Association of Filmmakers Newbury Park[1] (CVAFNP) and held its first film festival in the performing arts center of the school. Early members of CVAF include the screenwriter Hayley Harris[2] and director Cameron Winick. The organization publishes trailers for films created by members on YouTube and other promotional materials are released via Instagram[3].
The production of Parker Bohl's short film The Handmade Jungle was the first official project created by CVAF members utilizing the email network and CVAFNP club meetings at Newbury Park High School.[4] Bohl's 2023 short film Deleting Daisy Petal is considered a CVAF production by the group though it predates the organization as all the cast and crew joined the organization.
