The municipality of Bălți is a second-level territorial administrative unit in Moldova. The municipality of Bălți comprises the city of Bălți proper, plus the villages Elizaveta and Sadovoe immediately adjacent (suburbs) to the city, with a total area of 78 km².

Public administration in the municipality of Bălți is carried out by the local council, as a representative and deliberative authority, and by the mayor, as a representative and executive authority.
