Arthur Muhammad (born Arthur Jordan) is an American Filmmaker. He is the writer and Director of "Carter High" (2015) Director and Editor of Computer Love (2014) and Sweet Justice (2009). Garnered recognition with notable accolade for his screenplay, Muhammad wrote and directed many films from the early 2000's through today. His breakout film came through in (2015) with Carter High, which he wrote and directed. Carter High stands as a long-anticipated portrayal of remarkable true story of the 1988 Carter High Cowboys, a high school football team that struck fear into the hearts of their Texan Rivals. This inspiring narrative laid the foundation for the blockbuster foot film "Friday Night Lights"
Early Years
Arthur Muhammad was born Arthur Jordan in Dallas, Texas to parents Dorothy Jordan and Arthur Jordan Jr. He has 4 siblings. Muhammad has traversed a unique journey through the world of Cinema. His passion for film ignited alongside independent colleagues who unfortunately faced daunting financial challenges that prevented their projects from reaching completion. Determined never to encounter a similar fate, Muhammad embarked on a quest to learn every facet of filmmaking, from the intricacies writing and shooting to the art of editing, directing and producing.
Muhammad earned his BA degree in film and media from Southern Methodist University and further honed his craft obtaining a MFA Degree from Vermont College of Fine Arts with 17 feature films under but also written and directed four his belt. He has not only directed and edited but also written and directed four of these films.
