Arthur L Frank is an American Physician and Occupational health scientist[1] serving as Chair Emeritus at the Dornsife School of Public Health at Drexel University in Philadelphia.[2][3]
Early Career
[edit]He completed his MD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine of the City of New York[4] and his PhD in Biomedical Sciences from The City University of New York Mount Sinai Medical Center. Prior to that, he did his BA, Anthropology from State University of New York at Buffalo.[5][6]
Honours and Awards
[edit]Collegium Ramazzini awarded him the coveted Ramazzini Award 2016.[7][8][9]
Drexel University created a named professorship " the Arthur L. and Joanne B. Frank award" to honor his significant contributions to public health nationally and internationally.[10][11]
He serves on the International Advisory board at the Edward & Cynthia Institute of Public Health in India.[12] He serves as Guest Faculty to a Government of Delhi - Center for Occupational and Environmental Health.[13]
Reception
[edit]Addressing the Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance, Dr. Frank stated that continuing with asbestos is an international disaster particularly in countries like China and India.[14][15][16]
Dr. Frank through his research and testimony to the US Congress and other courts[17] has called for a full ban on Asbestos without delay.[18][19][20]
