The Akropong School for the Blind is a government-supported school that was established in 1945 by Presbyterian missionaries in Akropong, Ghana (then a British colony known as the Gold Coast). It was the first school for the blind in West Africa.[1]
The vice president of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia handed over 104 special laptop computers to the special needs teachers to facilitate teaching and learning in the school.[2]
