Submission declined on 22 June 2024 by SafariScribe (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

- Comment: Directors must meet WP:NDIRECTOR before accepted. As it appears, the article needs not to inherit notability from the few films he has directed. Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 20:50, 22 June 2024 (UTC)

Aaron Truss (born May 8, 1989) is a British film director. He is best known for directing the documentary film (K)nox: The Rob Knox Story (2021) and the short film Pareidolia (2023) as well as producing Cult of VHS (2022). He is one of the founders and executive producers of Q Cumber Films.
Biography
[edit]In 2008, Truss directed his first short film, a horror-comedy called Employee of the Dead. The film starred his friend Rob Knox (Marcus Belby in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) who was murdered a few weeks later in a knife attack.[1][2] In 2010, Truss would go on to produce the anti-knife crime film, Cold Kiss, which featured Ray Winstone.[3][4] In 2020, he resumed his directing career with the short film The Understudy, which was filmed for Halloween in order to raise money for the Bromley Little Theatre.[1][5] His next film was (K)nox: The Rob Knox Story, released on April 9, 2021, which highlights the knife crime crisis in the UK, following the death of Rob Knox. The documentary was commissioned as an exclusive for ITVX in January 2023 on UK television.[6]
Following the success of (K)nox: The Rob Knox Story, Truss’s next project was Pareidolia, a short horror film adapted from one of his father’s (Aiden Truss) short stories.[1] Pareidolia premiered at FrightFest on August 28, 2023, and features an ensemble cast including Diane Franklin, Graham Cole, Carolyn Pickles, Joe Acres and Sandy Johnson.[7][8]
Truss is also the co-director of the annual Rob Knox London Film Festival[9] and is a judge at the London Independent Film Festival.[10]
