Life and career

[edit]

Camden Beu was born on July 25, 1992, in Georgia (U.S. state), and grew up in Richmond, Virginia. He currently resides in Tampa, Florida where he is making a name for himself in the Florida dubstep scene. He has a thorough background in music and learned to various instruments at a young age and found his passion for producing and DJ'ing at the age of 17. He was introduced to electronic music in high school and made beats on GarageBand and Mixcraft and started releasing music on Youtube. In 2017, he developed a love for dubstep and riddim and then his journey into producing really took off. With an extensive hip-hop background, AKRUX was able to create his unique style by mashing the two genres he loved most. He showcases his music through his brand and social media presence as "Akruxsound" on Instagram[9] and Facebook and continues to create new and fresh content. Whether AKRUX is in the studio perfecting his craft, or out playing at some of the nicest venues; his high energy is always present. His passion and dedication to his craft and to the underground music scene always has the fans coming back for more. From sharing the stage with artists such as Riot Ten, Peekaboo, Layz, Zeke Beats, Shashou, Ruvlo, Isoxo, Jessica Audiffred and many more; it's no secret that AKRUX will be one of the next big names in Bass music.

Musical style

[edit]

AKRUX has described his music as "Raw, heavy, and hype". AKRUX merges hip hop, trap, drill and dubstep to create his own sound. He focuses heavily on the flow within the bassline, heavy sub frequencies, and hard-hitting drums. AKRUX is also known for his flips, bootlegs and remixes of popular Rap and Hip Hop songs such as "Knuck If You Buck[10]" by Crime Mob, "What U Gon' Do[11]" by Lil Jon and "Pop That[12]" by French Montana. This sound that he has created helped pave the way for his success as he continues to expand his sound and discography.
